< ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Kayce Cover began her professional career as a marine mammal trainer in 1973. She has worked for the National Zoological Park (Smithsonian), Mystic Marinelife Aquarium and the Universities of California and Maryland. Kayce Cover has contributed many innovations to the field of animal training and management, including the Intermediate Bridge. She was instrumental in the development of the project which became "Helping Hands for the Handicapped" (see also "Medical World News", January 9, 1979), and was the original trainer of Hellian, as seen on "Sixty Minutes". Cover currently travels the world, teaching others advanced skills in animal training, management and communication. >
